Amaluza

Amaluza is the main town, or “parroquia”, inside the municipality of Espíndola. This municipality has seven parroquias, but Amaluza is the only one that is considered urban. Amaluza was founded by Fray Bartolomé Ruiz de las Casas. Besides being the most commercial and developed parroquia inside Espíndola, Amaluza is also known for its beautiful churches, where people from all over Ecuador come to get married.

Amaluza is a popular tourist destination because of the Conjunto Lacustre de Amaluza y Jimbura, an area full of beautiful lakes and rivers. Just like any good coffee origin, this place is also well known for amazing views and landscapes from the coffee farms.
