Apanas

7 small-scale producers from Jinotega
STORY

Apanas coffee blend comes from several outstanding coffee growers from Jinotega near the Apanás lake. This region is mainly composed of wetlands and is home to the Apanás lake. This lake is artificial and is the only one of its kind in the country as well as being largest one in Latin America. It was built in 1964 and has an area of 54 km. Hundreds of families living in this region benefit from this huge lake, which creates perfect conditions for diverse agricultural activities.

Producers from different communities in Jinotega are responsible for the Apanás blend. Through their dedication to quality, we firmly believe in the potential of these farmers to continue producing amazing specialty coffees.
