La Golondrina
63 Organic certified small-scale coffee producers from Tambo and 24 Organic certified small-scale coffee producers from Timbio
STORY
87 small scale coffee producers from municipalities of El Tambo and Timbio, near famous Popayan in Cauca, decided to pursue organic certification with the hope of positively contributing to the environment as well as improving their quality of life. La Golondrina is the result of this effort and it is named this way because of the golondrina birds or sparrows that can be found on the farms in this region.
Although this specie of bird is often migratory in many other parts of the world, the wonderful climate found in Tambo and Timbio has resulted in them staying put and establishing it as their full-time home. This great climate has also made it possible to produce such delicious coffee organically and this hospitable coincidence is how this relationship coffee earned its name.
“La Golondrina relationship coffee is well-balanced, It has a caramel sweetness and a Christmas-spice orange acidity with some sweet vegetable notes”
