Los Rosales
About 50 small coffee growers that deliver coffee to Coop Especiales warehouse in Buesaco
STORY
Los Rosales is a Colombian specialty coffee grown in the department of Nariño. This region is located near to the Pacific Ocean, which has an enormous impact on the climate. The region has cool nights and warm days, which slows down the coffee’s ripening, achieving a distinct sweetness and complexity to the coffee’s profile. The name “Los Rosales” comes from the beautiful roses that are grown on the farms in this region, which infuse the area with sweet heady scents, the floral notes of which can be found in many of the coffees grown here.
Nariño, especially the municipalities of Buesaco and Tablón de Goméz, are known for the great specialty coffee that they produce. Caravela Coffee has been present in this region since 2015. We have cupping labs and warehouses, where we receive and analyse all the coffee delivered, separating it by quality grade and providing immediate feedback to farmers.
“Los Rosales has citrus and herbal aromas with lemon, jasmine and brown-sugar notes”.
