Maestros
PRODUCERS: Manuel Efren Jiménez
STORY
To become a master at any skill, it takes effort, passion, dedication, and soul! In every coffee region we always find certain coffee growing masters, who through their experience have reached a considerable expertise and they’re willing to pass on this knowledge to their communities and neighbors. Throughout the years, we’ve been fortunate enough to find dozens of these coffee growers, with innovative and entrepreneur spirit. The importance of finding these coffee growers is not only the quality of the coffee that they are able to produce, but they have influence and engagement within their communities and are key to our PECA team to spread knowledge and educate!
This limited edition seeks to encourage and recognize the next generation of these maestros. It showcases those coffee growers who have the potential to become teachers to their colleagues, who are willing to educate others, hence the name Maestro (Spanish for teacher). Coffee growers are always seeking for knowledge and they’re keen to continue learning because it helps them improve, gaining experience and achieving better results year after year. These Maestros have become role models in their communities for producers who are seeking to change to specialty coffee, improve quality or just seeking guidance.
