Linarco Rodriguez Ospina

FINCA EL DIVISO STORY

Linarco Rodriguez is famous in his hometown of Palestina, Huila, walking through the town square is a long process while he says hello to just about everyone. Linarco comes from a coffee growing family and grew up learning all about coffee production, but he decided to study business administration, looking to move to the capital one day. This never ended up happening as through his studies Linarco came to the realization that it would be better to have his own business and his experience in coffee made this the most obvious choice. What he learned while studying has been invaluable and, really, he does not have a coffee farm, but a coffee farm business.

Linarco works with his entire family and this is part of his success, he says, that it is a true family business. In fact, it is a Rodriguez family tradition to all meet in the kitchen and drink coffee while telling stories about their day and relaxing after working together. It makes him proud that he can share his life and his passion with his family.

Looking towards the future Linarco wants to continue working to create a better coffee industry through producing a high-quality product, sharing technical information with other farmers and working on having more sustainable farming practices.
